Dr. Dawn Langford, Optometrist
Dr. Dawn Langford is originally from southern Arkansas and received her undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University in 1993. She graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in 1997 with honors. In 1997, she was awarded the Wesley-Jessen excellence award for research done in the contact lens field.
She has also co-authored a paper related to dry eye syndrome and contact lens wear. She joined Eyecare Professionals and Grand Island Optical in August of 2000. She is a member of the American Optometric and Nebraska Optometric Associations. She is married to Dr. Jason Langford and has two daughters. She is a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
Dr. Jason Langford, Optometrist
Dr. Jason Langford attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, and graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in 1997. While attending SCO, he received several awards for clinical excellence. He joined Eyecare Professionals and Grand Island Optical in September 2001.
He is a member of the American Optometric and Nebraska Optometric Associations. Dr. Jason and Dr. Dawn Langford are married and have two daughters. When not spending time with family, Dr. Jason enjoys hunting and fishing and playing guitar in his band. He and his family are members of Resurrection Catholic Church.
Dr. Christa Hunnicutt, Optometrist
Dr. Christa Hunnicutt is a native of Grand Island and was a 2001 graduate of Central Catholic. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2005. She then attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating in 2009. Prior to joining the practice, Dr. Hunnicutt worked for a practice in Omaha and their locations in Lincoln and Iowa.
She is an active member of the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She is also a member of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, Aurora Child Care Board and City of Aurora Planning Commission. In her free time, Dr. Hunnicutt enjoys running and competing in half marathons. Dr. Hunnicutt is married with three children and living in Aurora, Nebraska.
Dr. Tyler Hanson, Optometrist
Dr. Tyler Hanson is a native of Kearney, Nebraska and earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2010, where he also participated in both the Track and Field and Cross-Country programs. He graduated with honors from the University of Missouri at St. Louis College of Optometry in May of 2013. He is an active member of the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Hanson and his wife, Jessica, have two beautiful children and are often seen running or cycling on the streets and bike paths of Grand Island.
Dr. William Kusek, Optometrist
Dr. William Kusek grew up in Albion, NE and earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Creighton University. In 2016, he graduated magna cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry as a Gold Key Honor Society member. Dr. Kusek completed a residency program at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System in Tucson, where he focused on low vision rehabilitation and treating ocular disease. He is a member of the Nebraska Optometric and American Optometric Associations. Dr. Kusek enjoys hiking, biking, being outside, and spending time with his wife and three sons.
Dr. Emily Laub, Optometrist -- Coming June 2024
Dr. Emily Laub was raised in Grand Island and graduated as an honor student from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2020. She’s currently attending Oklahoma’s College of Optometry and upon graduating will be joining Eyecare Professionals in June of 2024!
She participated in marching band every year of high school and college while in Nebraska. Dr. Laub loves the outdoors and some of her favorite activities include gardening, birdwatching, and fishing to name a few. While living in Oklahoma she met her fiancé, Robert, who is originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas.
