IN-HOUSE SAFETY PROCEDURES & GUIDELINES:

IMPORTANT NOTE: IF YOU OR SOMEONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD IS SICK, PLEASE STAY HOME!!! We’re always happy to reschedule an appointment!

  • Patients and staff are required to bring and wear face masks and have temperatures taken upon arrival to our office.
  • No additional persons will be allowed to accompany a patient to their appointment. Exceptions: One adult acceptable when accompanying a minor child or special needs patient.
  • Social distancing will be observed by all and will include a limited number of in office patients and staff.
  • Patients may be asked to wait in their cars prior to their appointments or material pick-ups. We will call or use two-way texting to communicate when safe to enter the building.

 

DRS. & STAFF GUIDELINES

  • Cleaning and disinfecting patient areas, examination rooms and equipment will be performed after each use.
  • Hand washing will be practiced by Drs. and staff after each patient.
  • Plexiglas bearers are in place in our contact lens and reception areas.
  • Various personal protective equipment (P.P.E) will be worn by our Drs. and staff.
  • HIPAA compliant electronic check-in options are now available to patients. These may include updating account and personal information, medical history, medications and insurance information. Document submissions (insurance cards, driver’s license etc.), on-line payments and direct contact lens on-line ordering (for select brands) will also be available to patients soon.
 
EYE HEALTH APPOINTMENTS
  • Routine, comprehensive and emergency eye health appointments are available at this time.For our patients who have missed their scheduled eye health appointment due to our COVID-19 closure, our staff is working diligently to reschedule these appointments.
  • Telemedicine appointments are available for patients with other urgent eye health problems such as red eye and infections. CONTACT LENS NEEDS
  • Contact lens orders are being placed with shipping options or arrangements for a call ahead curb side pick-up. We will also continue to extend contact lens orders or supply a complimentary pair of contact lenses to accommodate a patient’s needs until seen for their scheduled appointment.
  • Contact lens teachings and cleanings may be suspended until it is safe to do so.
 

EYEWEAR NEEDS

  • Until Hall County’s COVID-19 cases decrease, and it is determined that it is safe to do otherwise, we will have our dispensary doors locked, only allowing patients to enter at our Southeast entrance after temp. screening and personal protective masks are in place.
  • For patients with broken eyewear or urgent eyewear needs, please call our office so we may present options to assist you as soon as possible.
  • Scheduling is now required for dispensary services, such as eyewear adjustments and filling outside prescriptions. Please call our office prior to visiting to inquire about available services and/or possible scheduling.
